Today we received several calls, one from the facility where our daughter currently is letting us know that she would be integrated in with other children. We also received a call from a facility in Atlanta, GA letting us know they had a be available and could intake her as soon as this Thursday. I advised them of the facility where she was currently staying and they said they would coordinate with them regarding a possible transfer.

Later in the day, I received a call from our local facility advising me that they had been contacted by the facility in Atlanta. I was told that the local facility could not provide transport, but that the Atlanta facility could travel half the distance to make the transfer. I was told that we needed to facilitate the transfer. When I told the local facility that we didn't fee safe transporting our daughter, they said they would see what resources they could provide and would follow up in the morning. I then called the Atlanta facility to let them know we were trying to figure out logistics. I also asked if they could tell me about how the insurance would be handled and what the cost would be. They are an "in-network" provider, but our max "out of pocket" for our family is $9,000 per year. With it being so early in the year, that means we would be responsible for close to the full amount. The Atlanta facility said that they would begin the process of pre-authorization and let me know in the morning what we would be responsible for financially.

Several of our friends from church had asked if they could come to our home in the evening and pray with us for our daughter. At around 5:30 pm they arrived and we began updating them on how things were going and how she was doing. We told them that ideally, we would love for her to be home and for us all to be getting along because we love her. Our primary concern was her safety and if that means she must go to a residential care facility for a short time, that is ok. Our friends prayed with us and assured us that we were not in this fight alone. They said they would continue to stand beside us through this trial and pray continually for our daughter. We are so thankful to have a great church family and great friends we can count on to pray with us.

Lord, thank you for leading us to a great church and great Godly friends. Thank you for helping us navigating this situation and for keeping our daughter safe. Help us Lord to make the right decisions regarding her safety and wellbeing. Lord, remind our little girl that we love her and that we only want what is best for her. Lord, let our little girl remember the relationship she once had with you when she was young. In Jesus name, Amen.
