Baby steps

Yesterday afternoon, I called to check on my daughter. The nurse said that her behavior had improved and she had finished the required assignments to be able to resume her recreation time and normal activities. This was good news and we felt like we were getting some momentum. I told the nurse we were wanting to come for visitation Friday or Saturday. We were confident that with these reports of improved behavior, she would be receptive of us visiting. Since it is a three hour drive, I asked the nurse to tell my daughter we wanted to visit. When the nurse came back to the phone, she said our daughter did not want any visitors or phone calls. We were shocked. If her behavior was improving and the medication was helping, why would she not want contact with us?
We still don't understand the whole process of what is going on. I call at least twice everyday to check on her, but have received only one initiated phone call from the facility to set up a phone appointment with the doctor. The nurse told me that the doctor would be calling to schedule a family session and discuss her discharge. I am a little concerned that we are to the point of discussing discharge if she refuses to have any contact with is. I have requested to have the doctor call me to get some clarification. We will just take one day at a time and celebrate the small victories of each day.
Lord, please soften my daughters heart. Help her to know that we love her and want what is best for her. I pray for her salvation Lord and ask that you protect her mind and heart from the enemy. In Jesus name, Amen.
